2025 had been a good year – on to 2026!

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope wherever you are that you had a wonderful New Year’s Eve and a great start into the next year ahead. Personally, 2025 was a really good year and I am very grateful for all the opportunities I got, the people that came into my life, and the new perspectives that I encountered. 2025 meant for me moving to a new city, Würzburg in southern Germany, to start a new Job as event manager, and to profoundly change my daily routines of work.

2026 has several big mile stones already set in place. From 13 to 17 May the Catholic’s Day will take place and with that the culmination point of our work of the last years and months. After that it is still unclear for me what my next project will be. Naturally, there are several options and the first negotiations have already taken place. Most likely I will have to move towns again. In any case, it will be an adventurous year, already packed with many dates that I am dearly looking forward to – just think about all the festivals and medieval events! Writing on my new book is excruciatingly slow these days, but will definitely take a turn to the fastlane this year. In the meantime, you might have noticed that I introduced a new page in the menue of this website. Under “Devotions” I am going to publish small Christian texts here, which I hope will give you something positive to think about in times of dire news media coverage.

In good author’s tradition, I would like to list all my publications of 2025 below. It is a good way for me to recap where all that energy actually went into, and I hope it will be interesting and useful for you to read my texts.
